Jason Burns is the Editorial Steward for ACA Direct Answers. Every published answer on this site is reviewed against the underlying primary source — HealthCare.gov, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), or the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) — before it goes live and again whenever the source page changes.
Editorial role
- Sets the sourcing standard: only .gov primary pages, cited inline with the year.
- Reviews every answer for accuracy against HealthCare.gov, CMS, and IRS guidance before publication.
- Verifies verbatim government quotes character-for-character against the original transcript, filing, or agency page.
- Re-checks answers on the publication schedule and after any material rule change (Open Enrollment updates, premium tax credit adjustments, SEP rule changes).
